Becoming Her

Becoming her is an ongoing process, I've learned. One thing I won't do is act like I have my life completely figured out. That being said, I have learned a lot along the way, that God has put on my heart to share, to create a community, and encourage anyone who will listen to becoming bonafide, their authentic self.
My priority with this blog is to show God's grace and favor over my life regardless of what HAS happened. I believe God gave me this story that I call my life, to inspire people, and encourage others who may be going through the same thing. I truly believe that transparency is key, so embracing our stories come from the blessings and the lessons learned. So, I plan to discuss the ugly and the beauty in my story.
My priority with this blog is to show God's grace and favor over my life regardless of what HAS happened.
There are 4 main topics that I intend for my blog to cover, they are Faith, Fashion, Lifestyle, Mental Health & Wellness. With each main topic, I intend to dive into deeper sub topics where my expertise or experience lies but with every topic. Since we already covered Faith in the beginning of the post, the next topic would be Fashion, I love Fashion because it allows people to express themselves, from style, to accessories, to hairstyles, to make up. I love the feeling of having a bomb ass fit on and being able to show it off, and feel confident. I've had my fair share of don't wear this, don't wear that, you look this way, and don't get me wrong some was in good faith and guidance, but other times, it was control and I'm realizing how much it matters to be able to express yourself fully, because up until now, I was just an extension of someone else and what other people wanted me to be, which also ties into the mental health part of the blog ( we'll talk about it later ). With that being said, I intend to provide you all with affordable fashion, along with my journey of finding & expressing myself through fashion.
Next, is Lifestyle. If I could tell y'all how much my life has changed in one year, OMG, well I am going to tell y'all lol but since January 1, 2021, I got engaged, got married (privately) moved into our first apartment, started a business, failed at it, started the same business, with a new perspective, graduated in person, got married again (publicly), went on our honeymoon, got PREGNANT, became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. THAT IS ALOT TO UNPACK, and I've kept it private for the most part but I am ready to share the details, the ups & downs, and the growth. So lifestyle will have to do with motherhood, the day to day, relationships ( marriage, friendships, blended family ), lessons learned, all of that.
Last but not least, Mental Health & Wellness. What I will say is I feel as though I had a great childhood, my parents are amazing parents and I am very blessed to have them. Furthermore, there is generational trauma not healed, which has in turn been passed on, and it stops here. So a few things to note are, I have endured sexual abuse from a relative, and was cut off from the family after telling. I have suffered from narcissistic abuse, so I have a lot of experiences to share when it comes to boundaries, and healing, and growth in that aspect. My brother and I, do have divorced parents, but with that came blended families, which is a blessing, but even with that, I had a hard time adjusting so I have a lot of learning and growth, and healing to do, personally. So in this topic , I intend to cover the healing process of abuse, the boundary building, the tea, the growth, beauty, ugliness and love that come with this journey, basically y'all are coming on the adventure of figuring it out, so that you may not have to, or we can figure it out together.
I started this blog awhile ago, but I lost touch with what I was really going to talk about, so now that I have vision, I am super excited to try again ! So, if you relate in any way or just want to be apart of the journey, feel free to read, subscribe, and follow !
